And Kāśyapa smiled.
A transmission beyond scriptures—
No reliance on words.
Walking, standing, sitting, lying down—
All are expressions of Zen.

Now in my seventies, I have long since passed the age of recklessness. Formerly employed in the service industry, I understand the mundane realities of life yet recognise the pure light within the heart. Though my life is stable and my family harmonious, I have always delighted in the company of ancient sages, finding companionship in poetry and books, and solace in classical texts. My thoughts know no fixed rules, and my inspiration has no barriers.
In the 1980s, briefly took monastic vows, observing the Eight Precepts, studying under Masters Baodeng, Jinshan, and Zhifan.
Unconventional in character, a free-spirited wanderer. I dwells with wife and daughter, walks with dogs, finds companionship in half the Analects, guidance in Buddhist verses, and a mirror for the heart in chapters of military strategy. Thus I navigates my remaining years without growing old.
