Writing the second installment of the Quiet Canadians allowed me to continue with the life of James Darren Bains. Like many authors, continuing a story is only a challenge until you get started. As soon as the first few words have been typed, the book takes on a life of its own. Soon it becomes difficult to type fast enough to ensure the ideas are written before new ideas flood in and take the story in directions you never imagined at the outset. Writing is the ultimate tool for communicating ideas, knowledge and possibilities. It is my hope that those who choose to read my books enjoy the story, are entertained and perhaps view the world around them with a renewed interest. There is lots to see. We just have to observe it.
