The Protector by Wanda E. Brunstetter is the first book in A Mifflin County Mysteries. The Protector is different from this author’s other Amish novels. The main character is Norman Petersheim who is determined to locate his missing sister, Rosa. We get to see how Rosa’s disappearance affects the family. The Petersheim family are sad and tense. I could certainly understand why Norman’s girlfriend was feeling neglected. The conclusion was unsatisfying because it was incomplete.

This was a sad story of a missing daughter, Rosa. I do want to know myself as to the outcome for Rosa, so I will be reading the next book for sure. I received an ARC from the Publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved reading the inspirational and awesome story. When Rosa disappears, it affects the whole family especially Norman who feels as her older brother, he was her protector and does everything he can to find out what happened. Norman's mother's sorrowfulness affects the whole family, Norman's siblings and Norman have to take on not only their responsibilities but also Rosa's. Because of Norman's obsession with finding Rosa, he has hardly any time left for his girlfriend. Highly recommended!
