About this ebook

Her brother’s best friend is off-limits until a summer job turns temptation into the hottest risk of her life.

Olivia takes a summer job at her brother’s lavish estate, expecting sunshine and a good paycheck. What she gets is Aiden, her brother’s best friend and the man she’s secretly loved forever.

One scorching kiss during a late-night argument changes everything. He pushes her away, insisting loyalty matters more than desire. Yet his jealous glares and hungry stares tell the truth he refuses to admit.

Passion this hot refuses to be ignored. Every close call feels like a dare. Every accidental brush threatens to break the rules wide open.

If they give in, the fallout could be catastrophic. If they resist, it might destroy them anyway.

Tropes: brother’s best friend, forbidden love, summer romance, forced proximity, protective hero, slow burn that explodes, high spice

This was just ok. The romance stuff is not too heavy, that's a good thing. Cute story but not much character development, and the plot is old. My main complaint is that there doesn't seem to be much substance outside of the physical descriptions. Not much depth overall. The "surprise" towards the end... either too easy to guess, or it feels like it was simply thrown in there because that's what the recipe calls for. There was also an excessive amount of repetitions. Every other page, the girl would blush and/or bite her lips. Every bed scene, the guy shows off his chiseled muscles with that "vee line". And if I'd get a dollar for every "I guess" found in the book, I might be able to buy myself a pretty nice dinner. LOL. Sad to say, I started skipping pages at the last couple chapters, which I rarely do with pleasure reading. Plot-wise, usually that's where things get really intense, but unfortunately, this book fell a little flat, there and everywhere.

This book is surely written by a teenager, the main characters aren't matured. The conflict is so unrealistic and honestly isn't a conflict at all.
