About this ebook

Blake Coleman has always been the steady one. The rancher who keeps his family in line, the man who doesn’t take risks—because he knows exactly how fast trouble can blow up in your face. And nothing screams trouble like the blonde beauty who just moved into his house.

Jaxi’s the girl he grew up protecting, the one he swore was off-limits. Except she isn’t a girl anymore. She’s sunshine and sass, legs for days, and a smile that tempts him to break every rule he’s ever made.

Now Jaxi’s done waiting for Blake to see her as anything but the kid he once looked out for. She knows what she wants—and it’s him. All of him. She’s ready to prove that the girl next door has grown up into the only woman who can handle the grumpy, bossy cowboy who’s been running from what’s right in front of him.

When living under the same roof turns tension into fire, Blake has a choice: keep pretending she’s off-limits while his brothers line up to take their shot…or claim Jaxi for good and show everyone that this cowboy is done playing by the rules.

A forced-proximity, age-gap small-town romance full of slow-burn tension, protective cowboys, and a heroine who refuses to be ignored.

I really like Jax and her attitude. She's a tomboy but feminine. She never gives up.And Blake is a decent kind of man putting everyone else first.

So hot and so good! I read this book with my eyes several years ago; it was my first book by Vivian Arend and I blew through the series quickly. I loved getting to experience this story again listening to Tatiana Sokolov’s excellent performance. This story is a great start to a wonderful series. There are a lot of characters introduced as we meet the members of the Coleman family. The romance for Jaxi and Blake has an HEA but there are teasers for the other brothers who have their own books.
