About this ebook

Free-spirited Cleo Davis adores working at her local bookstore—until she learns that it’s being taken over by a major retailer. Wait, a corporate chain? Not if Cleo has anything to say about it. Because she’s got a plan to keep her beloved indie bookstore’s character intact...if she can convince the annoyingly uptight (and even more irritatingly hot) corporate risk assessor to hear her out.

Mark always follows the rules. But the minute he steps into the store and meets the vibrant and determined Cleo, he knows he’s walked into a whole pile of trouble. One moment, he’s in her “craft corner” painting bookends with kids. The next, he’s engaged in a charity auction bidding war with Cleo. She’s living proof that opposites can attract...and now he’s rethinking everything in his life.

But this Valentine’s Day, Cupid’s got a terrible sense of humor. Because as soon as this deal goes through, the quirky little bookshop will disappear...along with any chance of Mark and Cleo writing a romance of their very own.

Swoon! Was a wonderful story - guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Cleo is the bookstore manager that had put her all into the story and created a unique and welcoming environment. Mark is part of a book store chain interested in purchasing the store and turning it into a clone of other stores in the chain. The very idea of such a thing appalls Cleo and she sets out to show him the benefits of her approach. While Mark is participating in the various events that Cleo has planned, he becomes enchanted with her, and her with him. However, Cleo doesn't trust it and Mark takes an unusual approach to proving his heart. I loved this book and loved the characters. I found myself invested in their story and wanting them to get their HEA ending. Put this at the top of your TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.
