About this ebook

His father paid fifty thousand dollars to put her on that yacht, and Peter Morgan agreed to ruin her before he ever saw her cross the deck.

Corrupt the beautiful thing. Keep her close. Keep the Morgan line coming.

Jennifer Gonzales walks on board knowing exactly what her mother sold. She has wanted Peter since she was sixteen, watching him from behind a book at his family's pool while his sister called her a best friend. Victoria is gone now. The auditions end at Jennifer's measurements. And the contract Mitch Morgan slides across his desk is not an acting contract at all. It is a life, signed away for her mother's debts, a comfortable prison with gold bars.

She signs it anyway. Not for the roles. Not for the money. She signs because she found something in Peter worth saving, and because no one has ever let her choose anything for herself.

Peter signed for the opposite reason. She is the one thing in his father's empire he wants to keep, and wanting her is the first move his father did not script.

Then the house closes around her. Guards inside the door. A car she is not supposed to drive alone. A man who calls it protection every time he decides something without asking. Jennifer came to save Peter Morgan from what his father built. Now she has to find out whether the woman under the face is worth saving too, and whether either of them can be someone their parents did not choose.

Secret Obsession is the House of Morgan prequel and book one of the Peter and Jennifer trilogy. It is the only book where Mitch Morgan walks on the page. Their happy ending belongs to this trilogy. It does not arrive here

Secret Obsession is the prequel to the House of Morgan series by Victoria Pinder 4.5 stars What a start to Peter and Jennifer’s story and prequel to the series. Both sets of parents used and deceived them so the feelings they shared…are they real or a just fabricated? So much happens to them with suspense, betrayal, chemistry and setting them free to become who they are meant to be… I voluntarily read a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have followed this author and the House of Morgan through every book, every story, every character up to Secret Obsession. Honestly, I didn't know if Victoria Pinder could pull off Jennifer's and Peter's beginnings and remain true to them. I am positively blown away with this book! Jennifer's innocence took me completely by surprise. And Peter? Mitch Morgan left his mark all the way to Peter's very soul. I am very excited to see where this 3-book series takes this character. Secret Obsession is everything that I wanted but was afraid to expect from Victoria Pinder. Her hiatus from writing in recent years caused her to lose her edge but Secret Obsession is her most powerful novel to date. The intricate and emotional dance between these 2 characters are nothing short of brilliant. Their interactions between them set the stage for the next book. Where the author leads is anyone's guess. Now I just want to know: when is the next novel coming out??? Masterful storytelling as Victoria Pinder roars back to life and brilliantly takes control of the House of Morgan saga through Jennifer and Peter's trilogy, beginning with Secret Obsession. 5 stars
