About this ebook

Ten years ago he gave her a Cartier necklace and vanished. Tonight, armed men want it back.

Emily Mira spent a decade turning heartbreak into credentials — PhD in history, real-estate license she uses to keep the lights on, and a ruthless refusal to say the name of the prom-night boy who told her he'd come back and didn't. She's finally celebrating her graduation when Ted Vet San and four of his men lock down the Gainesville club she's in.

He wants the necklace. The one she never takes off.

Dane Pearce has been Uriel Delligatti for eight years — new name, Harvard tenure, and zero intention of ever touching his murderous adoptive father's fortune again. But the necklace he put around Emily's throat at seventeen was never just jewelry. It's a key. To a Paris vault. To the stolen Irish Crown Jewels. To a legacy Edmond Pearce hoarded his entire life.

Ted knows. Uriel knows. Emily is about to.

From a Florida nightclub to a London safehouse to a catacomb under Paris — the only way out is together.

Second chance. Academic hero. International treasure hunt. The Indiana Jones book in the series — with ten years of unfinished business.

After reading the first few paragraphs I just knew this book was going to be a great read. It reeled me in and kept me captivated until the last sentence. It was nice to see Emily and Dane get their own story. The writing is excellent, the plot is a blend of action, adventure, heart stopping suspense and romance and the characters have great chemistry. Both Emily and Dane are strong characters with Emily being strongly independent and feisty. There are twists and turns and surprising plot complications that came together at the end for a satisfying conclusion. It was also good to reconnect with Michael and Sophie from another book in the series. I enjoyed the book and highly recommend. I was given an Advanced Readers Copy of this book by the author. It was my pleasure to read and review the book.

I loved reading this book about a professor and his love from the past. There was just enough intrigue and hidden aspects that it was enjoyable and one i had to read in one sitting. This was an advanced free book that I have no trouble reviewing. This is my review and mine alone . Norma Gorrill
