About this ebook

From the author of The Personal Librarian, The Ex Files follows four women who find faith, friendship, and healing as they confront the pain of their past and reclaim their future.

Hailed as “an excellent storyteller...one of our best” (Eric Jerome Dickey), national bestselling author Victoria Christopher Murray delivers a powerful, faith-filled novel of four Black women and the different ways they handle heartbreak.

Kendall, Asia, Vanessa, and Sheridan each have an “ex” in their lives. Whether from a broken marriage, the shocking loss of a loved one, or a shattered bond of trust, the pain is real and the wounds deep. When their pastor asks the foursome to meet weekly for prayer, they can’t imagine they will have anything in common. But after a devastating tragedy strikes, these near-strangers are forced to reexamine their choices, their faith, and their understanding of love. Will they find true friendship?

Can prayer, accountability, and unexpected friendship help them heal from betrayal and loss? Or will the weight of heartbreak keep them bound to the past?

A compelling Christian novel about resilience, spiritual growth, and the healing power of community, The Ex Files explores how faith and friendship can transform even the most broken relationships.

Sometimes I read books and write my review later. That's what I did with this book and couldn't remember what it's about without reading the synopsis. This book didn't lock into my memory like her other books.
