Sobre este e-book
In Us, and our charge, Amy Le Feuvre crafts a devotional and morally instructive work characteristic of late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century evangelical children's literature. The book meditates on Christian responsibility—toward the young, the weak, and the souls entrusted to one's care—through clear prose, earnest exhortation, and a domestic spiritual sensibility. Its style is plain yet persuasive, shaped less by narrative complication than by reflection, scriptural application, and the cultivation of conscience. In literary context, it belongs to the rich Protestant tradition of didactic writing that sought to unite everyday conduct with a serious theology of stewardship and service. Le Feuvre was a prolific English religious writer whose fiction and devotional books were deeply informed by her evangelical convictions and by her lifelong concern with spiritual formation, especially among children and families. Writing in an age when domestic piety and missionary ideals were central to many Protestant households, she developed a body of work designed to guide readers toward obedience, self-examination, and trust in divine grace. These commitments clearly animate this volume. This is a rewarding book for readers interested in devotional literature, women's religious writing, and the moral culture of evangelical Protestantism. It will especially appeal to those who value spiritually serious, historically grounded reflections on duty, care, and Christian witness.
