About this ebook

Can Savanna Shepherd discover who’s behind a deadly art heist before her New Year’s Eve wedding?

Savanna Shepherd is wishing for snow. Her Lake Michigan town needs a good cold snap to showcase the winter festival and the sparkling ice-sculpture exhibit she’s curated. Once the weather starts cooperating, she can relax and enjoy the festive season with her loved ones.

But all is not merry and bright in small-town Carson, as chaos puts her holiday cheer on ice. Her ex-boyfriend’s mother is attacked in a robbery at their prestigious art museum, and then the black-tie event at Savanna’s local art museum goes horribly wrong. Thieves have stolen priceless paintings, and many more have been defaced with menacing graffiti. Friends and colleagues become suspects, and the bodies are piling up. Who can she trust?

Now, instead of enjoying the glow of Christmas and preparing to marry the single-dad doctor who holds her heart, Savanna turns amateur sleuth. Can she crack the case before her happily ever after melts away?

Perfect for twisty mystery fans craving snowy suspense and heartwarming moments!

A great addition to the Shepherd Sisters Mysteries series. I enjoyed returning to the small town of Carson and catching up with the Savanna, Aiden, and her family and friends. In this book, Savanna is tracking an art theft ring and trying to find out who killed one of her colleagues when the death count starts to rise. The story is set during Christmas, while Savanna is busy planning the Winter festival and her wedding. I enjoyed everything about this book.

A Stroke of Murder is a delightfully twisted, small town, art heist, murder mystery with a wedding! I have truly enjoyed the Shepherd Sisters mysteries and Savanna's job as an art authenticator. There is just so much love in the family dynamic in the books. Savanna's fiance Aiden, his daughter Molly, and all the dogs are great additions to the extended family. I loved all the details about the art heists and the winter festival. This book kept me up far too late because I could not go to sleep until I discovered the murderer! This well plotted book is a superb ending to a series I hate to see end.

I really love this series. The family and relationships are beautiful, too. The mysteries are always well thought out, and the writing is accessible but also lovely. These read more like woman's fiction vs. a cozy mystery, though they are cozy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
