I agree with the reviewer who said this story was more lust than love. It's certainly a case of lust at first sight with these two. Unfortunately, though they both have potentially meaty backgrounds, our hero and heroine don't really seem to connect on more than a physical level for the majority of the book. Added to that, our heroine's motivations just felt a little disjointed to me, and our hero a little short on action for my liking. Ah well, can't love them all hey ;) Grateful to give it a go though.

It had a lot of potential. I'm not an expert by any means. but I felt this story could have been written better. i liked the characters and lust turned into love. The ending was nice but also disappointing, they left too much open. I think more research could have been done for the era it's set in. but kudos to the writer. it's not easy, I'm sure being a published author.

I was unsure when I decided to read this due to some of the unfavorable reviews. Well I was pleasantly surprised it was good from the start, yes there was quite a few sex scenes in the book yet they led up to the true out come. The ending is wonderful.
