Too Sweet

She did not have time to also discover he was dating her cousin.

Enter Felix Hawthorne: childhood best friend, insufferably handsome basketball star, and the only person Coco could think of to drag upstairs to pretend to be her boyfriend for the evening.

The plan was simple. The execution was: Felix holding her waist and looking at her like he was completely in love.

It was supposed to be acting.

He kept stealing glances at her during dinner.

He kissed her at the night market and then said "you wanted the prize" with the world's most infuriating calm.

He showed up in the rain after her exam without being asked.

Coco has been friends with Felix her entire life. It took her this long to notice she was also a little bit in love with him.

Warm, funny, and genuinely delightful — a classic friends-to-lovers story with real heart.
