關於這本電子書

The Sleep Edge is a detailed, practical guide to The Busy Professional's Guide to Better Sleep for readers who want a clear path from understanding the topic to using it confidently in real situations. The book is designed as a structured learning companion rather than a shallow overview: it introduces the core ideas, explains why they matter, then develops them through realistic examples, guided practice, scenario-based explanations, and common mistakes to avoid. Readers are taken step by step from foundational concepts into everyday applications, with each chapter building on the previous one so the material feels progressive, usable, and easy to revisit. The main areas of focus include The Working Professional's Sleep Audit, Sleep Science for Skeptics, Your Chronotype and Your Calendar, The Corporate Saboteurs of Sleep, Caffeine Math: Timing Every Cup, The Wind-Down Protocol, Case Study: The Executive Who Fixed Her 3 A.M. Wake-Ups, Broken Nights and Big Meetings: The Mistake Audit, The 14-Day Sleep Debt Recovery Plan, Sleeping Across Time Zones Without Wrecking Yourself, giving the book a concrete learning arc that moves from orientation and confidence-building to applied communication, problem solving, and independent practice. The writing style is direct, supportive, and accessible, making the book suitable for self-study, classroom reinforcement, professional development, or personal improvement. It emphasizes practical understanding over abstract theory, so readers can immediately connect the lessons to conversations, decisions, habits, and challenges they are likely to face outside the page. By the end of the book, readers should have not only a stronger grasp of the subject, but also a collection of repeatable strategies, useful language patterns, mental models, and practical routines they can continue applying after they finish reading.

關於作者

CHERIE LECLAIR is a sleep performance coach and workplace wellness consultant who has spent the past dozen years helping professionals, executives, and high-performing teams get better rest on schedules that leave little room for it. Her approach grew out of a straightforward observation from her own career in corporate operations and product management: the people who performed best were rarely the ones working the longest hours, but almost always the ones who protected their recovery. What began as a personal experiment with sleep tracking and habit design became a professional specialty when her colleagues started asking what she was doing differently.

LeClair holds a Master of Science in health communication and is certified in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) through the CBT-I educational programs recognized by the Behavioral Sleep Medicine community. She has advised leadership teams at technology, financial services, and consulting firms, where she translates sleep science into practical systems for travelers, shift workers, and leaders who carry decision fatigue as a job requirement. Her writing on sleep, focus, and sustainable productivity has appeared in business and wellness publications, and she is a regular speaker at professional conferences on the business case for rest.

LeClair's coaching philosophy mirrors the argument of this book: sleep is not a reward for finishing your work, it's the infrastructure that makes the work possible. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family and an unreasonably early-rising dog, and she practices what she teaches—which means her mornings start with light, her afternoons end with a caffeine cutoff, and her evenings are, by her own design, refreshingly unremarkable. *The Sleep Edge* is her first book.
