About this ebook

Schwartz Patton has spent ten years hidden deep in the Montana wilderness.

So why is he hosting a makeshift hotel for a beautiful stranger in trouble?

Haunted by war, soldier Schwartz Patton retreated into self-imposed solitude.

Then his brother tracks him down and asks for a favor.

A woman in danger needs his help.

And Schwartz is the only one who can protect her.

A designer-loving city girl like Janelle Keebler doesn’t belong in a rustic mountain cabin.

Not unless she just witnessed a murder by her psycho, drug-trafficking ex.

The worst thing Janelle could do is fall for her sexy-as-sin protector.

But resisting their scorching attraction proves tougher than roughing it in the woods.

She’s starting to think Schwartz’s growly demeanor hides a tenderhearted teddy bear.

Being trapped with Janelle has an upside for Schwartz, too.

Her bright laugh and sunshiny smile wake up something inside him.

Every word, every touch, every kiss ignites needs Schwartz thought he’d lost forever.

He can’t stop the desperate attraction drawing him to Janelle.

Not even if he wanted to.

Not even if it could get them both killed.

One-click this sexy grumpy/sunshine forced-proximity romance with an ex-military hero playing bodyguard for a city girl in jeopardy.

Schwartz Patton lives off the grid which comes in handy when his family needs him to protect Janelle Keebler but nobody warned him that he would have to guard his heart as well in this riveting contemporary romance. Janelle is a city girl through and through but the wilderness is looking mighty fine at the moment and the reader can’t help but enjoy this romance as the strong compelling characters discover each other. The attraction burns with some pretty intense chemistry but both characters have some emotional hang-ups and Schwartz really captures the heart with the sexy, protective but grumpy attitude that stems from his past in the army. A fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps expectation building throughout with suspense and romance while Schwartz fights his attraction to Janelle and Janelle slowly wins his heart with some quirky and fun distractions. Excitement and tension builds throughout the story mostly from the tension between Schwartz and Janelle but also the danger to Janelle from her ex-husband The scenes are well written and capture the imagination while the suspense draws readers in and ensures that the readers want to know what happens and some steamy and sexy scenes during Schwartz and Janelle’s courtship adds lots of spice. I haven’t read the previous books in this series (yet) and I had no problem catching on to the fact that the Patton family makes for some enjoyable and lighthearted with a side of quirky reading and since I enjoyed getting to know Schwartz and Janelle, I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of family.

Fun witty banter between the main characters make this an incredibly enjoyable read. This entire series has been fun to read! In this book Janelle Kebbler needs protection from her murdering ex husband. Where better to hide a city girl than in the woods with a grumpy recluse?? For eight years Schwartz Patton has hidden himself away from everyone after devastating losses in Iraq scarred his heart. Now his brother has tracked him down and asked for his help. Protecting this feisty, beautiful woman may be harder than he expected though!! This is a good one and I definitely recommend it.

Awesome chemistry between Janelle and Schwartz. Some parts not very believable, but a great read.
