About this ebook

Anna Lewis—not her real name …

No, that’s not true.

It is her name, now. The US Marshals Service had it changed. Made it official.

She has a brand-new identity.

She’s in the Witness Protection Program. She should be safe. She should be able to go about her new life without worry.

Except, somehow, her Christmas decorations got her in trouble.

With someone who had promised to do very bad things to her if he ever caught up with her again.

Luckily, US Marshals agent Diego Mendez steps in to protect her. He’s overbearing, demanding, and far too good-looking.

But at least he’s going to keep her safe.

Right?

"No matter what he may or may not be feeling, she was unconditionally temporary in his life." This book was a nice start to a new series that sounds very interesting. I really liked both main characters and thought they were good together. I actually expected a lot more action, based on the blurb and the first few chapters. Instead it focused more on getting to know Diego and Anna. They had good chemistry and got along well almost from the start. I felt the big confrontation and conflict with Saif, the bad guy, was a little anticlimactic. I also think the resolution of Diego and Anna's issues was kind of rushed and way too simplified. It made me wonder why Diego had been worried about her eventually leaving if it was that easy. Vanessa, one of Diego's co-workers, was a likeable character and I'm happy to see the next book focuses on her. Plus it will be nice to see how Diego and Anna are doing.

His Witness is Book 1 of The Protectors series. It's a fast-paced, girl gets her protector, forced-proximity, romantic suspense. Anna is a 30 year old lab tech in the witness protection program. Diego is a hunky U.S Marshall. When a picture of Anna is posted online without her consent, she ends up being exposed to danger. Diego is the US Marshall assigned to live with her to protect her. The more time they spend together, the hotter things get. But as danger comes knocking again, can Diego keep her safe? And can they make a relationship work? This was a great fast-paced read with some unexpected twists and a little bit of spice. I am looking forward to this series. This was my first book by this author but not the last. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
