A Clear Midnight

Europa, Jupiter's Second Moon – For years now, the satellite, a residential hub within the System, has teetered on the brink of a profound crisis. An organization of individuals residing on the outskirts of the capital, Cambridge, known as the 'Resistance,' has long been fighting against the Confederation to assert their rights.

The trade routes from Mars and Earth to the outer planets, however, pass through this satellite, and its control equates to control over the entire System. In the past, hostile forces have attempted to seize the colony, and at any moment, a new uprising by a rebellious regime is feared.

During its return journey, the research vessel Crying Star, en route from Mars to the far reaches of the System, is forced to make a landing on Europa. Sabotage is suspected, but soon events will take an unforeseen turn.
