I cannot believe how many people absolutely loved the series. This may be good for teens (stress on that "may") but as a 26 year old who was curious about the series- I was extremely disappointed. It could have been SO much better. I felt like Katniss was rolled up in a ball the entire time, whining while rocking back and forth. For someone who is the protagonist of the series, the author did a horrible job with her.

I just finished reading this and was disappointed. I have no idea people are giving this 5 stars. The ending wasn't good, at times the story seemed to drag on, there wasn't much suspense and what was there led to the story just going flat, unanswered questions, people dieing for no reason and for the most part without any reason for the reader to be sad, and for most of the book Katniss just rambles on. The author must have been trying to meet a deadline rather than finish it properly. Or ran out of ideas.

I was intranced by the first two novels, unable to put them down, and read Mockingjay in less than a day. The first third of the book was amazing. After that though, it just felt like a big ball of confusion filled with weird tangents and loose ends that were never tied up. I had such high hopes for the conclusion of the trilogy but was sadly disappointed.
