About this ebook

Oil & Water tells an engrossing story of energy powering our modern world. Blending lived experience on an offshore oil platform with clear, gripping explanation, the book takes readers inside the hidden world of oil and gas: helicopter rides to remote rigs, high-pressure wells that can turn dangerous in seconds, long nights solving unexpected problems, and the close-knit camaraderie of people working far from land. From the hum of machinery offshore, the journey continues onshore to the geopolitics that shape nations. The discussions reveal how the choices we make, balancing development and sustainability, will define the future. With a rare blend of storytelling, science, and sweeping global insight, Oil & Water is an essential read for anyone curious about how the modern world runs and where it is headed next.
