Acerca de este libro electrónico

Jim Nash and Maddie Spence, partners in business and in life, are going through some tough times. Business has been slow. The pair is on the verge of losing Jim's private investigator business. The only thing they have going for them is the office building and the residences they operate. They own the building outright.

When Nancy Boyle walks in and tells Jim she needs him for a job, he accepts. Even though she's light on details, that doesn't bother Jim. He knows Nancy, and trusts her. When she tells him the job is for the feds, alarm bells begin to ring. In Jim's past, he worked jobs for the feds as an independent contractor. He ended up getting screwed every time.

Nancy explains that the job is top secret. It will involve moving certain items out of the country for safekeeping, Jim is intrigued. With no further information forthcoming, he demands to be paid up front. What he asks for is no small amount. When Nancy steps out of his office to make a phone call, Jim figures the job offer just flew out the window along with the money he wanted paid in advance.

Much to his surprise, Nancy returns. She agrees to meet his demands. Now Jim must meet hers. To do so, he's forced to turn to Harry Delaney.

Acerca del autor

Peter Duke is a Canadian author. He resides and writes in a small college town in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Peter Duke's gypsy spirit has taken him to some strange places in the world, but now he's content to limit his adventures to riding a motorcycle and whatever he might encounter when he's on the road. He's worked in bike shops doing odd jobs from planning and putting on rides down Mexico way, taking care of computer networking and security, and to picking up and delivering motorcycles from the L.A. basin to Las Vegas, among other things.

He's ridden over a lot of North America at one time or another from Canada to Mexico, and from Atlantic to Pacific. By far his favorite ride is up and down the length of the Baja Peninsula, where the people are friendly, the sun always shines and it’s warm in the winter.

Of everything that he has experienced in his all-too-brief life, Africa is perhaps the greatest enigma. It's an amazing continent, rich in people, nature and resources, yet poor in all of those areas, too.
