Sheila Cullen is a career development strategist and the founder of Quiet Rise Coaching, a practice dedicated to helping introverted professionals build meaningful careers on their own terms. Over the past fifteen years, she has worked with more than two thousand clients across technology, healthcare, education, and the nonprofit sector, designing practical networking systems that honor introvert strengths rather than trying to override them.
Her interest in quiet networking began during her own career as a software engineer at a Fortune 500 company, where she discovered that her most valuable professional relationships came not from company-wide mixers but from focused one-on-one conversations over coffee. After earning a master's degree in organizational psychology from the University of Chicago, she left engineering to pursue her passion for helping other introverts navigate the professional world without pretending to be someone they are not.
Sheila has spoken at companies including Google, Microsoft, and Salesforce, and her writing on introversion and career development has appeared in *Harvard Business Review*, *Forbes*, and *Psychology Today*. Her first book, *The Thoughtful Leader*, was a finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her partner and two exceptionally quiet cats, where she spends her weekends hiking, reading, and proving that the best conversations happen away from the crowd.
