BURNING MERIDIAN: A Novel of Love, Loss, and Finding Home in a Stranger

Irina Volkov is twenty-six, Russian, and three months into a journey that was supposed to be freedom but feels like exile. She left Saint Petersburg with a packed bag and an unanswered question: how do you watch someone you love choose to stop fighting?

Arjun Mehra walked away from his own wedding the night before the ceremony — two hundred guests, a devastated family, and a fiancée who deserved a man who didn't have to convince himself to love her. Now he's standing in a foreign city with no plan and no direction.

They meet in the rain. They argue. They fall.

What follows is a love story that spans five countries — from Lisbon's cobblestones to Seville's jasmine-covered courtyards, from a dying father's bedside in Saint Petersburg to a fractured family in Jaipur. It is a story about grief that reshapes you, families that define you, and the terrifying, beautiful, impossible act of letting another person see who you really are.

"Can two people who've spent their whole lives running finally choose to stay?"
