About this ebook

Wild Thorns is a chronicle of life in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Written in Arabic and first published in Jerusalem in 1976, Wild Thorns, with its panorama of characters and unsentimental portrayals of everyday life, is the first Arab novel to give a true picture of social and personal relations under occupation. Its convincing sincerity, uncompromising honesty, and rich emotional texture plead elegantly for the cause of survival in the face of oppression.

as my school book i had to annotate this on an extremely deep level, and while i dont really enjoy school books this one is extremly deep and reflects so many different perspectives, showing more then just one perspective to the occupation in palastine, rather then other books ive read that are more baised. its a great book if you were to understand the palastinian reality, and while it isnt my favorate genra i did really like this book, and their were parts that genuinly made me tear up and i never cry in books, the only reason i dont give it 4 stars is that a lot of the middle chaptwrs get very repetitive and i do get very slightly annoyed by the main charactor at this point, though it is something accurate that happens so i cant complain.
