About this ebook

Sunsplitter is the epic conclusion to S. A. Maclean’s spicy monster romance duology in which a cross-dimensional smuggler and her immortal partner must defend their home from dangerous beasts.

THE INSTANT USA TODAY BESTSELLER!

Fi has toppled immortal beasts. Antal welcomes being conquered. After helping the Lord Daeyari reclaim his territory, semi-reformed smuggler Fi dons a daunting new role: rebuilding a city alongside her monstrous partner, a haven free from bloody sacrifice.

So when Antal’s father unexpectedly summons him home, Fi’s first instinct is to ready her claws. Only, claws won’t be enough for this adversary. Antal faces his first homecoming in five decades, dreading two truths. From his father’s seat on the governing council, he could undo everything Antal has built. And their last argument ended with Antal’s lover dead on the floor. But a greater danger lurks: the appearance of a creature that even the daeyari fear, burning its way through the Planes.

With Antal’s father leading the hunt, he and Fi must ally with a team of immortals who could turn fangs on them at any moment. Or worse, strain their still-fresh love until it snaps.

"Sunsplitter is everything you want out of a sequel: bigger, badder, and with more tails!” Kalyn Josephson, NYT bestselling author of The Library of Amorlin

Sunsplitter is a heartfelt, satisfying conclusion to Fi and Antal's story. It follows the aftermath of Voidwalker's Happily Ever After, with the struggles of building a healthy relationship as a pair of disaster bisexuals with childhood trauma. It is wonderfully character-driven, with both Fi's and Antal's POV as they work through processing their own demons while still being a supportive partner to the other.... and then there's the small matter of meeting his family. I'd give it 3.5/5 chili peppers for the spice: they're deliciously hot and adventurous, but they've got responsibilities that tragically take them away from the bedroom. This one is set to be a perennial comfort read for me; I don't think I'll ever get tired of it.

About the author

S. A. MacLean is a fantasy romance author from sunny Southern California. Infatuated with magical worlds since her days of brewing mud potions in her childhood garden, she fell in love with the romantasy genre after realizing all her favorite fantasy novels had kisses in them. Her stories invariably feature quirky humor, sassy animal companions, and queer casts who represent her voice as a chaotic bisexual woman. Sarah received her BS in Natural Resources from Cornell University and a PhD in Environmental Science from UC Berkeley. She left the research track to teach environmental science at her local community college, inspiring the next generation of students to save the planet.
