Lots of potential promised in the thematic setting of Amish culture, but largely unexplored, and the characters feel clichéd. Unrealistic and unbelievable motivations and dialogue abound. The plot is driven by what comes across as the protagonist's paranoid self-absorption. I want a smart leading character, not one who describes herself as stupid in order to excuse the direction of a dubious plotline. The storytelling started out promising, but lost steam along the way.

Ridiculous premise for the mostly women readership. I won't put myself through this.
