This book has let me felt seen and heard. The stories of the women in this book is my story too. It was difficult to speak to anyone in my family or close friends about this new dynamic of a blended family which I chose to be in, as no one whom I trusted to speak to was part of a blended family and those who were, had unhealthy situations of blended family living. There were many times I wanted to close the book and delete it out of frustration with my own blended family dynamics, but Laura's words have a gifted way of soothing one's soul. She and Ron are truly used by God to reach women like me. This book writes about the things I feel, experience, find challenging, disheartening and broken, and gives hope to all women who are in this situation. It prepares us from the dating phase right to grandparent and exentended family phases of being a stepmom. I recommend this book to any woman who is thinking about pursuing a relationship that is to be blended, to the woman who is engaged to enter a soon to be be blended family and the the woman is married into a blended family - happily or unhappily. May this book give you courage and wisdom to face your future with hope and women around the world rooting for you to be a smart stepmom.
