The first 3 chapters gave good insight into bible study methods. The last two chapters were okay, in that it it simply summarised a variety of methods and provided a few resources. It was one of those books where you "eat what applies, and throw away what doesn't.

After reading "How to Study the Bible" I was impressed by the depth of concern of the author for a hunger and thirst of God's Word. The fact that he points out on various occasions regarding the revelation of Jesus in the Old Testament and the culmination in the New Testament bears witness to the importance and preeminence of Jesus in the word and should have in all of our lives. I was particularly impressed by the attention given to helping Believers become more effective witnesses for Christ. I recommend this book to help all believers become more familiar with scripture as the author says, "Feed on the Word". Thank you Brother West.
