A remote island, a monster hunt, and a past that refuses to stay buried.

Mark Sandoval, a once-famous cryptozoologist haunted by a hit-and-run, seeks refuge in Hvildarland, a remote Icelandic island, after grainy footage surfaces of a possible unicorn. He hires an assistant, and they venture to the farm where the sighting occurred, only to find more than they bargained for.

As they delve deeper, they uncover military secrets and chilling truths about the island's history and its residents. With the lines between reality and illusion blurring, they must confront their inner demons and decide what they are willing to risk in the face of the unknown. Perfect for readers of speculative fiction, horror, and mystery, this novel blends dark humor with philosophical themes, exploring the nature of belief and the price of knowledge.
