This book acts as a guide through the Impress.js presentation building framework for people who would rather not read through the source code (I recommend reading the source anyway!) The book starts by building a basic presentation showing off the core functionality of Impress.js, and then slowly, through incremental examples, unravels the power of using an open source HTML/CSS/JS framework to make beautiful presentations. The earlier chapters introduce the basics of positioning, and transitions, while the later part of the book dives into the core api so that users can write their own custom functionality into their presentations. Both aspects are well illustrated using example code and simple but crucial tips along the way. The only part where the book lacks a bit, is in the very last sections concerning displaying on mobile and unsupported browsers. While the book does mention that impress.js has in built classes to provide a fall back message, explaining how those classes can be used to provide a very readable presentation could have made this into a complete guide. In conclusion, a good guide through a great framework for presentations.
