Karen's Undertaking
💀 Where death is a business, magic is a side hustle, and Coldplay is a lifestyle.
Step into the darkly comic, wildly imaginative world of Rachel Lawson’s The Magicians universe, where reapers moonlight as morticians, necromancers fake their own deaths, and funeral homes double as stages for supernatural chaos. In this collection of interwoven tales, Karen Drax—aka Charon—launches a mortuary staffed by reluctant immortals, including the goth magician Blake, whose obsession with Coldplay and dramatic flair threatens to derail every solemn occasion.
From corpse roulette and undead choirs to truck-driving kings and emotionally embalmed vampires, these stories blend gothic absurdity with heartfelt family drama, existential mischief, and dry wit. Whether you're grieving, giggling, or gasping, this book proves that in the Magicians’ world, dying is easy—comedy is hard.
Perfect for fans of Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and anyone who’s ever wondered what happens when the afterlife gets bureaucratic.
