Problem is, Abe—the town's handsome harbormaster—barely knows she exists.
But then Fiona petitions the council to demolish a deserted old lighthouse, just as Abe is equally determined to preserve the local landmark.
But why does Fiona want to tear down the building that was once her childhood home? And why is Abe, whose father drowned in the lighthouse's shadow, so desperate to save it?
Battle lines are drawn—just as the spark between them is finally ignited…

This book starts a little slow, but really gets going. Will make you laugh. Then it takes a sharp turn into over done drama that is so stereotypical.... Eh. Not worth finishing.

Loved how the characters work through their problems with an underlying knitting theme. I laugh in the face of those who tell me knitters are "depressed". The last one was a Vietnam draft dodger who should have become a plumber instead of a psychologist.

Funny and sad, heart-wrenching really, two people who've settled into losing everything try to find it with each other. If they could only get out of their own way... Keep your Kleenex handy!
