A Reason To Stay

Viktor left small-town Vermont behind for a life of danger, never looking back. As a Navy SEAL, he thrives on adrenaline, fleeting passion, and high-stakes missions—love and commitment were never part of the plan. But when his nephew witnesses a murder, duty calls him home, straight into an active investigation led by the one man he swore he’d never face again. Taking a hit from Aiden? Expected. Teaming up to track a killer? Absolutely not. Love makes a man weak, and one wrong move could cost Aiden his life.

Aiden thought he was over Viktor. Two years was plenty of time to bury the pain of being left behind. But when a string of deaths in the Green Mountains brings Viktor back, old wounds reopen, and the only way to stop a murderer is to work together. Aiden doesn’t just have to fight the elements and a deadly threat—he has to fight the feeling that he might lose his heart to Viktor all over again.

As the mountain closes in and the truth comes to light, Aiden and Viktor must decide: Can they survive the danger hunting them? And if they do, will Viktor finally stop running long enough to give love a chance?
