About this ebook

The Holi Book of Colours introduces your little ones to a variety of colours, stimulating their imaginations, promoting positive behaviour, enriching vocabulary, and fostering bonding moments during shared reading experiences.

What makes this book extra special? It’s co-authored by my 5-year-old, whose giggles and quirky lines helped shape many of the verses. His joyful lens brought the colours to life, and I hope your little ones find just as much delight!

🌈 Discover Vibrant Colours: Our rhymes introduce a spectrum of colours beyond the rainbow, with vibrant illustrations helping your toddlers recognise colours in their surroundings and make connections to everyday objects.

📚 Expand Vocabulary: Pre-schoolers can learn new words as they chuckle and repeat the verses linked to colours, objects, and emotions through engaging rhymes like "Turn & Churn," "Blue & Glue," and "Pink and Think."

🧠 Brain Workout: Young minds are stimulated by colours, rhymes, and pictures, enhancing critical thinking skills through pattern recognition and connecting the dots.

😊 Encourage Positive Behaviour: Upbeat rhymes create a happy learning atmosphere and promote good habits in your kids, such as thinking and eating healthily, like "Pink, Pink, it's time to think" and "Green, Green, let's eat some beans."

🎨 Ignite Imagination & Creativity: Let your children embark on imaginative journeys with lovable characters like "Purple Turtle" and "Dragons & Knights," encouraging vibrant dialogues and imaginative play.

🤗 Create Lasting Memories: Family members can read the bedtime stories together with your kids, creating cherished memories, affection, and warm moments of laughter.

About the author

Hi there,

I’m Purwa! I grew up chasing monsoon puddles in India, and now I navigate the London Tube (with varying degrees of success). By day, I wrestle with digital systems at a multinational company, finding clever, simple solutions is my thing. By night, you’ll catch me curled up in my favourite armchair, jotting down story ideas in a coffee-stained notebook.

Last year, I had a great deal of fun bringing the 'Holi Book of Colours' to life, a bouncy little rhyme book where each colour comes with its own happy, silly, or dreamy feeling. Seeing toddlers giggle at the bright pages never gets old.

This year, I’m beyond excited to share 'From First to Forever', my first full-length novel. It’s Sicil’s story, her hopes, her detours, and her stubborn belief that true love is out there, even when life gets a little messy. Writing her journey taught me that sometimes the hardest roads lead to the most beautiful destinations.

Whether I’m playing with nursery rhymes or untangling the twists of a grown-up heart, I write because stories feel like home.

Thank you for joining me on my author journey. Your presence and support are deeply appreciated.

With warmth & gratitude,

Purwa Rathor
