Historical fiction about three women (Catherine of Valois, Eleanor Cobham, and Jacqueline d'Hainaut), with interconnected lives, at the time of the Hundred Years War (1337-1453) between England and France. While I always enjoy learning about women with power during the Middle Ages, the author acknowledges at the start of the novel that she fabricated the central motivation for the protagonist. I prefer historical fiction based on facts.

Loved reading the mesmerizing and engaging story about three different women. Jacqueline of Hainautt and her fight to try to win back her lands; Margery Jourdemayne accused of witchcraft and midwife to the queen, and Eleanor Cobhaum, a pretty young woman, who wants marriage and riches. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, another must read riveting and intriguing story by the phenomenal author Philippa Gregory.
