The Ministry of Jesus: A Devotional Celebrating the Work, Words, and Witness of Christ
About this ebook
We celebrate Jesus's birth at Christmas and his resurrection at Easter, but what about the three transformative years in between? The Ministry of Jesus takes you on a 50-day journey through the most powerful ministry the world has ever known.
Walk alongside Jesus as he turns water into wine, heals the paralyzed, casts out demons, feeds thousands with a boy's small lunch, and speaks truth to power. Watch him extend grace to a woman caught in adultery, raise Lazarus from the dead, and teach profound lessons through unforgettable parables. These aren't just ancient stories. They're invitations to experience the living Christ who still transforms lives today.
A Fresh Look at Familiar Stories
Peter DeHaan expertly weaves together all four gospel accounts to create a cohesive timeline of Jesus's ministry, primarily following Mark's gospel while incorporating key moments from Matthew, Luke, and John. Each devotional entry features carefully selected Scripture passages, a highlighted focus verse, accessible biblical teaching, and practical application.
You'll encounter Jesus teaching about the kingdom of God, demonstrating his authority over creation and evil spirits, and showing what it truly means to love God and love others. From his baptism in the Jordan River to his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, every page reveals new depths of Jesus's character, mission, and love.
Transform Your Spiritual Journey
Whether you're using this devotional during the liturgical season between Epiphany and Lent, reading it after Easter and before Advent, or exploring it any time of year, The Ministry of Jesus will deepen your faith and inspire your daily walk with Christ.
Each entry concludes with reflection questions that challenge you to apply Jesus's teachings to your life today and a prayer to guide your conversation with God. Perfect for individual devotions, small group studies, or family worship, this book celebrates the work, words, and witness of Christ in a way that makes ancient truths powerfully relevant for modern believers.
