About this ebook
archaeologist Kira Voss thought she had left the darkness behind. But
when a dying colleague whispers the location of the Obsidian Codex — an
artifact rumored to hold the blueprint of a weapon that toppled
civilizations — Kira is pulled back into the shadow war she swore to
escape.
Racing against Viktor Drazen, a ruthless oligarch who collects forbidden
relics like trophies, Kira assembles a fractured team: Marcus Cole, a
combat specialist haunted by his past; Zara Okafor, a hacker who sees
through any firewall; and Dr. Elijah Thorne, an eccentric historian with
secrets of his own.
From the bone-choked catacombs beneath Cairo to a drowned temple in the
Amazon, from the iron vaults of Prague to a fortress carved into the
Himalayas, the hunters follow a trail of blood, betrayal, and ancient
riddles. But the deeper they descend, the more they realize — the Codex
was never meant to be found. And some darkness hunts back.
Hunters of the Dark is a relentless action-adventure novel that blends
pulse-pounding set pieces with the mystery of a lost civilization that
chose to bury its greatest power rather than let it see the light.

About the author
**Pauline Seaport** is an internationally acclaimed author of action-adventure fiction with a passion for blending pulse-pounding suspense with deep historical mystery. With over fifteen years of experience crafting stories that span the globe—from ancient catacombs to uncharted jungle temples—Seaport has built a reputation for meticulously researched narratives that keep readers on the edge of their seats.
A former researcher in archaeological sciences, Seaport brings an authentic depth to the world of artifact hunting, ancient civilizations, and the shadowy networks of black-market antiquities. The vivid settings in *Hunters of the Dark*—the winding streets of Cairo, the dense canopy of the Amazon, the spired elegance of Prague—reflect a lifetime of travel and an unyielding curiosity about the hidden corners of human history.
When not writing, Seaport can be found exploring ruins, reading obscure academic journals for clues to her next story, or hiking trails that most maps have forgotten. *Hunters of the Dark* is the first novel in a planned series that will follow Kira Voss and her team as they pursue the most dangerous secrets of a civilization that chose to erase itself from history—and the powerful men and women who would stop at nothing to recover what was buried.
Pauline Seaport lives between Lisbon and London, where she is currently at work on her next novel.
