About the author
Paul Christensen is a poet and writer, and teaches modern literature at Texas A&M University. He shared a ?Distinguished Prose? award with Rick Demarinis from Antioch Review; received the ?Violet Crown? award from the Writers? League of Texas for Blue Alleys: Prose Poems (2001); and was an NEA Poetry fellow in 1991. His most recent books are West of the American Dream: An Encounter with Texas (2001) and a book of poems, The Mottled Air (2003).
