The author masterfully crafted a believable and intense attraction that felt both genuine and exciting. The creeping sense of danger was palpable, and the mystery of who the stalker was targeting kept me guessing. I loved how the author balanced the blossoming romance with the rising tension of the threat. Max's protective instincts were incredibly compelling and watching him and Alexis navigate their feelings while trying to stay safe was a thrilling ride.
