About this ebook

He thought he was the hunter.

But this foxy American just turned the tables in this forced proximity chase in the Highland woods.

Ewan MacLeod is used to getting his way ... on the land, in the village pub, and definitely with women. The youngest of the MacLeod brothers, he’s cocky, charming, and dangerously handsome in that “I’ll ruin your life and build you a cottage” sort of way. His job as a Highland wildlife ranger puts him deep in the woods ... and out of reach of emotional entanglements with his morally gray character.

Until Sadie Quinn shows up.

She’s an American wildlife biologist spending the spring and summer in the Scottish Highlands studying fox migration patterns. Smart, snarky, and completely unimpressed by his swagger, Sadie has no time for Highland games ... or Highland men.

But when Ewan assists with her misdirected shipment of supplies, it’s only a matter of time before sparks fly. Between chasing foxes, dodging flirtation, and finding ways to trick one another, the two find themselves entangled in more ways than one. Circumstances keep throwing them together and something begins to shift. The Highland mountains are not the only place full of wild things, proving that Ewan’s heart is not as untouchable as he thought.

He’s always been the one to outwit and outrun.

But this time? The real question is: Who will be outfoxed?

Mountain Men of Scotland Series

Welcome to the wild heart of the Highlands, where the mountains are steep, the fields green, the air is sharp, and the men? Unapologetically rugged.

In the Mountain Men of Scotland series, each story delivers a swoon-worthy romance featuring fiercely protective heroes rooted in the land and the bold women who claim their hearts. From crofters, mountain guides, and whisky distillers, these Highland men don’t just live off the grid, they write their own rules. When fate throws unexpected love their way, they’ll fight to keep it, no matter the cost.

Steeped in centuries of history and whispered folklore, this land carries a quiet kind of magic .... one that stirs the soul, ignites the senses, and makes falling in love feel inevitable. Steamy, emotional, and set against the misty, windswept beauty of Scotland, each book in this series is a standalone romance packed with heat, heart, and happily ever afters that are as satisfying as a warm fire on a stormy night.

Are you ready for wit, wisdom, and just the right amount of scandalous charm to invade your next reading experience? Let’s keep the magic of romance flowing with cakes, kilts, and kisses.

Ewan was a real character and I enjoyed his sense of humor throughout this story. Sadie stuck out like a sore thumb, but it was nice that the sister-in-laws incorporated her into their little group. She struck me as a bit of a stickler for Rules & regulations (makes sense with her profession). There's some twists in the path these two have to take if they want a HEA, but given her temporary status maybe that's best. They have great chemistry and banter and would make a fitting couple.
