After having completed with honors his M.Eng. in Construction Technology and Management at the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (Bhopal), Dr. Kapoor received his PhD in Engineering Sciences from the CSIR-Central Building Research Institute (Roorkee). His research interests include indoor air quality, construction management, energy-efficient buildings, environmental engineering, quantum computing and AI for public health & safety. In February 2022, he received the Diamond Jubilee Best Technology Award for his patented HVAC ducting system for the integration of COVID-19 disinfection solutions. Later in September, he was also presented with a Best Paper Award at an international conference held at DIT University (Dehrdadun).Dr. Kumar has more than 33 years of experience in research, academia, and industry, with expertise spanning building architecture, sustainable built environment, indoor air quality, urban planning for smart cities, and net-zero energy buildings. He has led prestigious projects related to IAQ at a national and international level and is a senior member of WAYU, a task group at CSIR created to find indigenous solutions to ventilation problems, particularly in challenging pandemic circumstances. He has patented several market-ready designs and technologies that have seen practical application in buildings. He is also serving as a member of the Governing Council for the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.Anuj Kumar obtained an M.Tech. in Instrumentation from the Indian Institute of Technology Kurukshetra in 2004 and a PhD in Embedded Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2011. Between 2011 and 2015, he held posts as a Postdoc Fellow at the University of Seoul, the University of Pretoria, and the National University of Singapore. He has been working on devices to monitor indoor air quality and to tackle associated problems for the past 15 years. His research interests include sensing applications, wireless sensor-actuator networks, energy-efficient buildings, and the Internet of Things applied to building physics.Aman Kumar holds a Master's degree in Construction Technology and Management from the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Chandigarh, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. He is currently pursuing a PhD at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. Before that, Kumar was a Project Associate at the CSIR – Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, India. He also accrued practical experience by covering a variety of roles in industry, including as a Structural Health Monitoring Engineer with Aimil Ltd., New Delhi, and as a Quality Control Engineer with Ambuja Cements Ltd., Chandigarh. Aman has also served as an Assistant Professor at the Indo-Global College, Punjab, where he taught earthquake engineering, estimation & costing, and concrete technology. His professional expertise spans non-destructive testing (NDT), structural health monitoring, fiber-reinforced polymers, fiber-reinforced cementitious matrices, and AI and ML applications for structural engineering.
