About this ebook

Autumn: The Water Warrior is a true story told like a storybook tale.

Created for children aged 6 to 12, this book follows Autumn Peltier as she carries forward the legacy of her great-aunt and continues the fight for governments to guarantee clean water for all Indigenous communities.

Raised on the shores of the Great Lakes, Autumn learns from an early age that water is not simply a resource to be used, but a travelling companion, a guide and a living memory. When she sees its waters becoming murky and polluted, she knows that she must stand up and speak.

With courage and determination, Autumn carries her message far beyond the shores of her island, reaching the United Nations and world leaders. Despite her young age, she reminds everyone that protecting water means protecting life itself.
