About this ebook

When Tracey Adams decides she can't take any more of NYC life, her friends Margot and Caitlyn agree: it's time to settle down and get out of the city. With visions of white picket fences dancing in their heads, they form a joke association -- The Settle Down Society -- and start dating with marriage in mind.

Tracey thinks she's struck gold, but it doesn't take long for her new fiance to show his true colors. Meanwhile, she keeps running into Mason, an NYPD detective who doesn't always see her at her best. But when the crusty cop shows her his heart of gold, what's a girl supposed to do?

With forced proximity and enemies to lovers tropes, plus the unstoppable background of New York City in every season, The Settle Down Summer is a classic rom-com you'll love!

Pandemic PTSD Emerging into the post-pandemic world has been an uneven and sometimes treacherous road for many of us. I have a great empathy for Tracey and the panic she now experiences in any kind of crowd situation. That she would meet a man like Mason who could be stable and supportive without making her 'less' gave her a chance to bloom once more as an artist. Together they find that they can establish roots in a community that is enough 'not-city' without being entirely 'country' that they can have the best of New York life. I received an ARC copy of this story from the author via BookFunnel and voluntarily chose to share my review.
