Nancy A. Nichols was born in Montrose, Colorado. She resides there today with her husband, Isidoro Ulibarri.
After graduating from Montrose High School, Nancy furthered her education at Ft. Lewis College graduating magna cum laude and with a bachelor's degree in English. After graduating from college, she began teaching disadvantaged/handicapped high school drop-outs and vocational education. Following twenty years in the education field, Nancy decided to retire and become a Real Estate Salesman/Broker for the Montrose Realty with her father, Broker/Owner. She is now retired from Real Estate and is currently an author.
Fire in the Hole represents Nancy's father who built his Estate in commercial-vacant land in the Western Slope off the Colorado Mountains hard-rock Rockies. Her father’s indomitable spirit of man after WWII atomic bombs and volcanic explosions which formed the mountains he prospected and promoted for gold was a thrill seeking event for him, like finding the gold at the end of a rainbow. Nancy's father succeeded in his Estate in land and claiming independence as a WWII vet, leaving behind a complex Estate for closing "from rags to riches" for his only child and heiress.
In her leisure time she enjoys music, especially playing classical piano. She also enjoys taking photography.
