About this ebook
A Gripping Mystery Thriller About a Missing Manuscript, a Cold Case, and the Secrets That Should Have Stayed Buried
When world-famous crime novelist Lucille Hart is found dead just days after finishing her most controversial manuscript, struggling journalist Emma Dorsey is assigned to write her obituary. But what begins as a routine assignment spirals into a chilling investigation when Emma learns the final manuscript has vanished — and may be based on a real unsolved murder.
The deeper Emma digs, the more disturbing the truth becomes. Clues hidden in Lucille’s handwritten notes and abandoned cabin lead Emma to a 20-year-old cold case in the small town of Grayridge, New York — the murder of a teenage girl found in a diner freezer. Shockingly, the novel’s story implicates someone close to Emma: her own father, a retired NYPD detective.
As Emma unravels a web of literary clues, buried secrets, and police corruption, she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer desperate to keep the truth hidden.
But some stories refuse to stay silent.
