Um höfundinn

Walter Farrell, O.P. (1902–1951) was a highly respected American Dominican priest and theologian. Born in Chicago, he was ordained in 1927 and later earned his doctorate in sacred theology in Switzerland. A professor, retreat master, and writer, he founded the scholarly journal The Thomist in 1939. His most significant work is the four-volume A Companion to the Summa, which was vital in making the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas accessible to a wider audience. He also served as a chaplain in the U.S. Navy during World War II, leaving behind a rich literary legacy when he passed away at the age of 49.

Martin J. Healy, S.T.D. was a Catholic priest and a Doctor of Sacred Theology who served as a professor of Dogmatic Theology in New York. While he is most known for his co-authorship of My Way of Life with Walter Farrell, his contributions were even more extensive. After Farrell's death, Father Healy completed the remaining two volumes of A Companion to the Summa, ensuring the monumental project was finished. His work focused on making complex theological concepts from St. Thomas Aquinas understandable and applicable for everyday readers, and he was also the author of other books, such as The Whole Story: God and Man Through the Ages.
