garbage.. main character is annoying.. one think is to have a "quick temper" and the other is to be aggravating, always jumping to conclusion, if i were Donovan i would have walked away within the hour. .. didnt get past 72% which is how long for her to finally start opening up....

I don't believe I have ever rated a book so low before this. I was completely frustrated with Corisande's paranoia that Donovan was commiting some injustice towards her every time she felt threatened by her emotions. I understood her psyche and the reasoning behind it, but this level of emotional avoidance negates a quick happy ending, but that is just what the author tried to do anyway. Corie's chronic temper tantrums and, dare I say it, histrionics, were completely off putting. I continued reading only to find out whether Donovan found his daughter.

Had the hardest time getting into this book. The heroine was such a drama queen and made most of her troubles worse. Had to force myself to finish. Not interested in reading the sequel.
