Forbidden Lovers: An Enemy Species Alien Orc Romance

Now both our peoples are preparing to destroy each other.

Annalise has spent months slipping through forbidden tunnels to meet the Urr'ki warrior who stole her heart the moment their eyes met. Mazabuta is green-skinned, tusked, powerful, and everything the Zmaj insist his kind cannot be: intelligent, honorable, and fiercely devoted.

He calls her his dragoste.

To everyone else, he is a monster.

When Annalise becomes personal assistant to Lady General Rosalind, she finally has a chance to influence the coming war. But the closer she moves to power, the harder it becomes to hide the secret rendezvous that could brand her a traitor.

Mazabuta is fighting a battle of his own. The Shaman has twisted the Urr'ki's desperation into a cult of blood, promising a reborn world if they awaken the Paluga. Maz no longer believes. He suspects the beloved Queen is being held prisoner, and a hidden resistance is gathering beneath the Shaman's rule.

Then a Zmaj warrior discovers Mazabuta near the compound.

Beaten, chained, and awaiting execution, Maz is prepared to die believing he will find Annalise in the next life. She refuses to let him surrender this one.

Saving him means revealing their forbidden bond, defying the Zmaj leaders, and convincing Rosalind that the enemy in her prison may be their only path to peace. But the plan that follows is more dangerous than either of them imagined.

To stop a genocide, Annalise must pretend Maz escaped with her as his captive, enter the Urr'ki settlement willingly, and help him reach the Queen before the Shaman exposes them both.

Their love crossed the line between enemies.

Now it may be the only thing capable of saving three peoples from war.
