Cowboy Elite: Kenny
About this ebook
Faith Collins is pure Georgia sunshine wrapped in Christmas glitter—literally. As a traveling equine massage therapist, she decorates horses with sparkly lights, quotes Southern sayings her grandmother never actually said, and talks enough for three people. Her mission? Deliver a Christmas ornament and a letter to the man her beloved brother trusted most.
Kenny Watkins is a man of few words and fewer smiles. The former Special Ops sharpshooter came home from Afghanistan four years ago, but part of him never left that desert—the part that watched his best friend, Sgt. Danny Collins, die on Christmas Day. Now he works his family's dude ranch in silence, keeping everyone at arm's length.
When Faith arrives at the Watkins Dude Ranch, she freezes. She can't tell this grumpy, wounded warrior that she's Danny's little sister. Not yet. Maybe tomorrow. But tomorrow becomes the next day, and the next, and suddenly this quiet cowboy is smiling at her terrible jokes and letting her bedazzle his horses. He's looking at her like she hung the moon, and she's falling hard for a man who doesn't even know her real name.
The clock is ticking down to Christmas. Every day she doesn't tell him the truth makes the lie bigger. But telling him now means losing him forever—because Kenny Watkins doesn't forgive easily, especially when it comes to anything connected to the friend he couldn't save.
Sometimes the hardest gift to give is the truth.
Cowboy Elite: Kenny is a sweet, closed-door, small-town Christmas romance with a wounded warrior hero, a sunshine heroine carrying a secret, rescue horses, a found family of cowboy brothers, a meddling grandpa in a fire-engine red Corvette, and a happily-ever-after you can count on. Book 4 and the final book in the Cowboy Elite series. Each book can be read on its own.
