A fantastic Victorian romance, with mystery and action (and cats!) This is a sequel, but can be read as a standalone - this follows Nell and Miles and their story as they also work on the mystery of disappeared acquaintances. This story is by no means spicy but is probably the most spicy book I've read from Matthews, but is still a closed door romance. A great story that discusses women's rights, disability and family in the Victorian era.

A new, exciting romantic mystery from Mimi Matthews! The Marriage Method delivers another amazing Victorian mystery/romance with brilliant depth, a heartfelt marriage of convenience, & a gripping mystery. The Crinoline Academy series just keeps getting more amazing & I can’t wait for more! I absolutely loved this story! Miles & Nell both have so much depth. They’ve both risen from difficult circumstances to become even better together. Highly recommend!

Book 2 of Mimi Matthews’ Crinoline Academy series is another winner! Nell Trewlove travels to London to find a missing new student and to stop a London newspaper from publishing articles about the Academy. She and the editor, Miles Quincey, wind up working together to also investigate the murder of one of the newspaper’s reporters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which can easily be read as a standalone. Now the hard part - waiting for book 3!
