About this ebook
Every newly-minted officer of the Icaran Confederation Navy has one goal: to earn the golden warfare device of a fully qualified Stellar Warfare Officer.
In pursuit of that goal, Ensign Matthew Gilbert looks forward to a grand adventure together with his friends on the newest, most powerful ship in the fleet.
Instead, a last-minute change in orders sends Matt, alone, to a backwater station and an aging ship he never would have chosen.
Far from home and surrounded by an unfamiliar culture, with a crushing workload and little chance of seeing any real action, he finds himself embarked on the adventure of a lifetime, on the pointy end of his nation’s spear.
He just has to get qualified first.
Technically detailed and accurate to Naval culture and tradition, Warfare Qualified is a fun and exciting excursion into the life of a junior officer on his first adventure in a large and dangerous galaxy.
